Description  
Union of South Africa Commemoration medal 1910, unnamed as issued.  In 1910 the Act of Union turned four provinces into the Unified Country that it is today. This medal was struck to commemorate the first opening of parliment in the Union of South Africa by HRH the Duke of Connaught.  It was awarded to those who took part in the inauguration and a total of 551 medals were issued (unnamed).
